Anyone can clue us in on this?  Maybe a software developer?  Shouldn't online casinos have BETTER payouts than live, because there is less maintenance, a lot faster, and ease of access?

A large number of our games at Cloudbet.com have a higher payout rate than live casinos. Our highest payout game - Super 7 Blackjack - pays out 99.71%. Check us out!

Cheers,
Cloudbet

Online casinos, especially Bitcoin casinos, do have on average a much higher payout. A lot are competing on house edge against each other and against classic casinos. Thus these can sometimes become marginally low, which is of course very good for the player.

I don't know if I can trust the replies in this thread, because they are all by Casino employees/affiliates.  How about a software expert to chime in?

I am the best of both worlds, a "software expert" who developed a casino that has been running flawless since early 2013. I did also not advertise the casino in my reply, so not sure what's wrong.

Oh I see.  So you are with satoshibet ?  So what is the payout for some of the popular games on there.  And how does the algorithm/ RNG work in online casinos?  Is it predetermined or does it change based on customer bet size/ other factors (like say customer is newbie, so let him win a bit).

Online Bitcoin casinos have a quite low edge compared to live ones, and even to online ones that have to pay for their licenses, taxes, etc.

Live casinos have better payouts, people are people, and software is better player than in live mode  Grin

You can look at the 'house edge' different sites are offering.
Competition seems to be pushing these down.

Yeah.. Where can I find that house edge man? That is like, the lower the house edge the better right?

It's all about adjusting.
I stopped playing online when I took a closer / backend look at big casino sotware - and what it makes possible for the operator.
Just don't play Wink House edge = horse as*. It does not matter if operator is palying with own rules at backend.

Short answer: Yes.
Long answer: Instead of just comparing the house edge of different sites, you should also consider the deposit/no deposit bonus, rakeback and most importantly the trustworthiness.
