Any burnmarks on the backplane?
How does it behave?

Maybe i can help you repair it Smiley
I just dont know how they look like.

Take some high rez photos and post, ill throw my 2 cents in.

Maybe this will help. As i can see, all the backplane is doing, its routing power and signaling to the beaglebone.

Replace those out of shape capacitors, also resolder the non working slot.
A standard iron and some wire flux would do.

Those capacitors could be shorted, preventing the slot from working properly.

Also look inside the slot, are there any visibly bent pins?

i suppose you did switch the boards between slots to see if the board is good.
if not, try, also do a visual inspection on the half working board im suspecting a capacitor or something got snaped off

Let me know the results Smiley

-yes i have tried to switch the boards around resulting in 1 non working slot
-Also the capacitor for the broken slot dose not show much damage but gonna try to replace it.
-The slots do not show any damage to the pins at all.

thanks for the help! will let u know how it goes!

I should open a service center Smiley)
Its most probably the slot, (micro fractures in the solder) resulting in imperfect contact or noise in the signal.
Replacing those capacitors is a good ideea no matter what.

Resolder the contacts and replace the capacitors.
If this fails, i can only think that the blade somehow bent the contacts inwards in the slot.
or in worse case scenario it broke the contacts in the pcb(unlikely) because of repeated shocks.

Good luck. If you are in the EU or even US and are unable to repair and decide to buy the other,
send it to me(only backplane of course), never had an antminer to play before Smiley

im guessing it didnt work

still if you get the one from PatMan, please consider sending me the broken one.
At a price of course(just not a very high one Smiley )+the beaglebone, if you take one with your new one.

hi,
I have figured out that its only a single blade that is broken.
I thought that it was the backboard as it always switched between the bade, sometimes it was number 1 that was broken sometimes number 3 etc. however figured out that it assigns each number to the board randomly and was able to pinpoint the defect blade.
I can send you the defect blade if u want? only for postage cost, however postage here is very expensive so don't think it be worth it (~25$ ) but up to u. its only one single blade itself like this one (not mine)

still looking for a blade, however looks like i have a deal!
but if anyone can sell me one for less than 0.09 BTC shipped to texas PM me!!
taking a small hit on this one as i had to put more into it as expected!!
thanks!!
