@ALTCOINLINKS,
my 50 cents for you, just with HOPE that you will.
Take a look, every alt-coin daemon - it is clone of Bitcoin. It is really large and huge daemon for ordinary PC. I've spoken with admins of different exchanges, such platform with 50 and more alt-coins, can't be located on the one computer, even on huge blade system.
I venture to suggest, there is no such cluster-system on The Earth. today, to launch all of alt-coins that mined somehow. If not, couple of years and this would be such. I'm sure.
For example, little, compare to cryptsy.com, exchange located on 5, may be 10 computers, with 2 very fast CPU per platform. Because of similar to hash-rate difficulties. Plus disk-usage.
* Everytime, when you are trying to setup localwallet, you are looking for `valid nodes` - it is 90% of a setup time.
You could create such site, for alt-coins community, where will be collected current "Network-state" for all alt-coins. However, looks like this task is not easy for one person, even for a group of high-qualified engineers.
There needs knowledge in C/C++. Need to crop Bitcoin's source to one knocker, around peers.dat job only. Decrease recall timeout. Thereafter, this daemon could be modified to universal knocker for all alt-coins. This would be a core of a system.
You could simply collect all alt-coins, and launch this light knocker for each.
Site would be such table:
Name / List of valid nodes / Other useful information - alt1 list - alt2 list - alt3 list - alt4 list - alt5 list
each list is a mirror of your peers.dat, with lastseen codded in the bitcoin's scheme.
* This will be lighter than exchange, and more informative than any alt-coin's directory. * This site will be such useful, probably all of alt-coiners will donate to you. * Profit could be gathered from ads
Do you copy?
