If BTC hits $10 I would give up on it because I doubt it could recover from such a big drop.

I"m thrilled so many people think this, even the die hards because it just means that there's might be a second chance for the real believers to get back into Bitcoin (without throwing retarded amounts of money at it).

the heavily leveraged shorters that stand to go bankrupt.

Never gamble more than you can afford to lose.

http://www.gamblersanonymous.org/ga/

Bitcoin could go to zero or $100k I would never be under water.

Me neither, but I don't gamble on margin. From your comments I figured you don't either.

I was directing my post at the margin gamblers.

I learned about margin gambling during my days at Goodwin Harris & Co., members of the Toronto Stock Exchange as it was called in those days (1968).

You work in a carnival, you get to see how the carnies shake down the rubes.

Actually margin shorting is awesome! You should have been doing it with me at least the last six months!!! BIG $$$  While you bagholders keep buying every drop!
Keeping buying! Thank you so much for keeping you money in this bitcoin scheme for longer so I can keep cashing out every week  Kiss

The question is are you prepared for if it hits $800 in an hour?

When the price hits my alarms I will calmly log in to Circle and buy a large quantity of BTC (in either direction). Otherwise it is accumulation time!

You are not the person I am asking the question to.. it is the heavily leveraged shorters that stand to go bankrupt if this happens.

Those maniac shorters will be out of business and will rue the day they ever heard of bitcoin.

Actually that is impossible since initial investment has been withdrawn already & I continue to withdraw ROI every week... Moved my miner to a free electricity house & even that is still profitable thanks to people dropping out! Difficulty should probably keep going lower too & it'll be more profit for dumping mega farms who will overclock  Cheesy

If BTC hits $10 I would give up on it because I doubt it could recover from such a big drop.

Yea & lose all your money on the next pump... smart man!  Roll Eyes

I don't think it will drop that low but even if it goes below say $300 (I hope it doesn't) but if it does I think it would be a good time to buy and you're right one needs to be prepared for it will be a very small window to get in.

What mechanism would make it go to 800 in an hour?

I think it is very much possible especially if you have bunch of shorters that heavily leveraged their position betting against increase and a decent movement maybe $100 can easily trigger chain of events that could crash through all the stop-loss orders. I don't think many of these investors are really prepared for that situation. It's same thing like what we can see when the yen gained against us dollar in 2009

I think you will miss the chance of your life if you don't buy at $10

I would buy directly if it hit $300 let alone $10  Cheesy
