This entirely depends on the country you are in. It could be as high as 30%, or more or less.
 It also depends on the cost of the miner.

20% VAT in UK.

I paid 25% (Sweden) + some administration fee. That is 25% of cost of miners AND SHIPPING!

If the miners are imported yes there is VAT if you buy from the same country like your residence and buy from individual person not company then no vat

You may also pay import tax apart from the VAT charged and or possible handling expenses from  the pirate Courier services like DH-long      or UP-shit

If in the US better a US resident answer better but this its free of tax.

I import commercially in Canada and I pay nothing on imports, compared to 10% if I imported privately.

Cost me 20% in Sweden as well. Its really huge for importing mining rigs.
EDIT: A friend told me that it costed him like 35% for the same rig . Not sure why did that happen.
