Help please - Fees paid but not getting any confirmations...

I paid the fees but im not getting any confirmations and my spendable amount stays 0.

Im not a BTC guru i just use it... can anybody help fix this?

There have been 2-6k transactions waiting to be confirmed



The fee you paid is fine, its just not all that matters. The overall priority is also important and I suspect there have been other transactions with a higher priority that have been confirmed earlier. On top of that there was a block [1] that did confirm no TX and one that only confirmed 63 TX.

Sometimes, other transactions are placed to higher priorities than the normal ones. It's quite normal in the bitcoin network though. Patience is a virtue my friend, it will confirm. Just be patient and have faith lol.

Its going VERY slow.... 4 hours, 3 confirmations...

See the picture? The higher the spikes go the more transactions are around but have no confirmation yet. If they drop a block has been found, sometimes the drop is big (plenty transactions have been in the block for a confirmation) and sometimes the drop is small (very few or no transactions have been in the block for a confirmation).

When it also takes longer than 10 minutes for a block to be found the transactions queue up. Think traffic jam, everyone wants into the block, but it can only take up to 2000 and some miners have little on ramps and only take a few 100. There are ongoing discussions about possible solutions (e.g. bigger blocks)

As you can see there are less transactions in queue and confirmations should come faster. Traffic jam dissolved.
