I wouldn't even talk to the guy. Nobody is going to trust you with a cent's worth of a collateral. From your posts you are active, too active in the lending section.

Bitcointalk is not based of kids, we aren't easy to fool as you think.

Yes it is very strange , I think he only want to "steal" the collateral * if it has more value than the loan itself* .  Trade with him but pay attention.
