Have you seen Fractalcoin's custom Digishield mod called Slingshield?  It's supposed to keep things fair against poolhoppers by adjusting difficulty, while at the same time attracting and taking advantage of the nature of multipools.

On the one hand, you don't want your network run by multipools and then have 0 hashrate every time the pools leave.  But if you strongly discourage multipool activity, your network is losing all the participation of the many people using multipools.  So the idea is to balance it out, get the benefit of all those pool miners, while at the same time keeping your dedicated miners rewarded.

But then, Guldencoin is working on a different long-term model, while Fractalcoin has a limit of 1 million coins so it's trying to plan to keep the network running on transaction fees alone, in the near future when the mining phase has been completed.  So good luck, I'm holding plenty of Gulden myself.  Guldencoin naar de maan!
