Wow you have an excellent warranty!, here in my country all that you get is 6 months, and if they don't have a replacement you have to wait, 2 or maybe three months because they will not return your money, warranty here sucks!.

CUDA miners weren't profitable until the maxwell architecture that arrives (in my country) in early 2014, so, as soon as I saw the results ppl here where posting about it, I start selling all my AMD cards to buy maxwells (still do, I still own a great deal of 7950s (with custom, low voltage firmware)), and as soon as I sell enough I will buy more maxwells  Grin Grin

for what I have read, 750ti seems to be the king, because KH vs Power consumption is the best, 970 is a huge beast, fantastic card, but eats too much power, and in a place where power is expensive it's a no go.

ZOMG! 4K USD/mo in electricity! YIKES!, when I had the complete farm in operation with scrypt (38MH), I was under 1K USD/mo bill and I didn't pay any rent for the space because it was borrowed Cheesy
no wonder why you didn't get ROI, between power costs and rent, eat's all your profit Sad geez...

not worth it, but great video indeed, i would preferred nvidia though, 970 are the best right now, or maybe wait for the 960

Back in Dec. 2013 Nvidia was not that strong in mining with gpuminer Wink .. and I was too lazy to write an own miner using CUDA to run fast on Nvidia cards. Didn't really follow the scene anymore since 6 months, but it seems like somebody else took the time to write a CUDA version that now kicks AMD's ass, right?

So TBH, this was actually the first time I EVER did buy something of AMD/ATI...

Exactly...Nvidia's performance was poor at that time but today's scenario is opposite. Nvidia now beats AMD in both Mining and Gaming arenas. It is time for AMD to show some innovation.

under 4 USD a month in electricity for my whole house
OMFG, that's cheap. I paid around 4k USD/month for electricity alone, for mine.

4K in electricity, man this country is cheap!!! In here with 4k you could live pretty comfortable for a year, even 2 if you do some cuts. Our gas price is also a joke it is less than 0.001 USD/Litre wayyyyy more cheaper than water.
