I've been purchasing my bitcoins mainly though ATM around melbourne and it's getting harder to find a actual working ATM around here, i need another easy way to get my coins.
If you are in Australia and have purchased btc lately how did you do it?
Who did you use- localbitcoins, coinjar, ect?
Was it easy?
What forms of ID did you have to supply?
Did you have to set up an account?

localbitcoins is the answer.
The markup always seems so much on localbitcoins, it like the more trust the user has the more he can charge.

My aussie mate bought a lot of Bitcoin through Virwox because he had a lot of SSL from playing Second life. Look it up.

id have to agree, try localbitcoins in your area that people can do face to face.

or people accepting your currency, you just have to look and sort the ads. im not sure about others pointing out the different sites, but localbitcoins have been around for awhile now.

In Australia we accept local bank transfer and cash deposit. Since we're based outside of Australia, there are no extra charges.
The exchanger is easy to use. No need to create any wallets or payment accounts to use our service.
Verification is required, but it's a standard practice for such services to minimize risks of possible fraud. The service is absolutely secure having the license for financial activity and PCI Compliance certification.

I would say LocalBitcoin is the most trusted Bitcoin exchange network. Since it is available worldwide.. find someone who live in Australia and arrange for an exchange.. Easy.

So sad! This profile does not appear as the #1 result (on anonymous) Google searches anymore.
