I know there have been thousands of knock offs of Bitcoin but I want to make my own coin. I have some ideas which will hopefully make it a distinct coin and a legit coin which will actually be worth something. Unfortunately, I don't have the skills as far as programming and other things to make it and I was wondering if anyone was willing to help

I wish people would stop creating coins! Because everyone and his dog wants to make their own coins it would s killing the alt scene! We have far too many as it is, it is diluting volume an the fact most are shitcoins it's damaging the entire alt scene!
Please you or anyone else!.stop now!.we don't need anymore coins!.you're killing it!

Believe me, I understand what you're saying. I know what's been happening with the market in the recent months, and I've been watching and BTC for a long time now. I just think that I have some legitimate ideas for a new coin that would substantially differentiate it from BTC and all the altcoins. This is not some crap coin that I want to make just for shits and giggles. I seriously believe it would be a distinct coin that could one day have a serious value to it.

Don't bother. You have to have a team and deep pockets and/or a lot of free time on your hands. Distinct and legit sounds all well and good but it is not enough. Are you prepared to write a whitepaper explaining, in detail, the technical aspects of the coin? That is step 1. If you do a premine on an ICO then it will be labelled a scamcoin out of the gate. |

If you have genuine good ideas for a coin to gain value, the best advice is to contact a reliable dev of an already present coin and see if they can implement your ideas and you can get involved on it that way! As stated above if you want to do it alone you need deep pockets, a thick skin a he'll of a lot of time on your hands and be willing to be bullied by your community and trolls alike!!! Nothing wrong with having good ideas for a coin, I'm all for that, intact I wish more people were like you, but with thousands of coins out there it would have to be a gamechanger of an idea or it will just get lost in the sea of alts we are now dealing with!

No problem, you can create your own coin within minutes, PoW or PoS, on top of the Nxt blockchain. If you want to create your own Coin, you will need to just buckle down and learn how to do it on your own. If you do get some help, expect that it may be short lived unless there is consistent money involved. Maybe you think your ideas may be good, but implementing it is a whole other thing and if you don't know what you are doing then you could break it.
Also those that do know what they are doing are unlikely to help because people don't want new Coins being released by newbies.

Use Nxt Monetary System. That will allow you to create your own coin without programming knowledge. |

Don't listen to these trolls. Altcoins can actually empower bitcoin, and the community decides if a coin has value, so I say good luck. I was mostly talking to the folks that were discouraging the idea because "there are too many alts". |
