how is this off-topic??? i posted this in the speculation subforum and it got moved here instantly. maybe i should word it differently? i speculate that the price is going to stay at 6.66 for as long as pirate has so much influence over the price. I can't speculate how long that will be, but if i had to guess, its probably going to be at least a year.

Get real, pirate doesn't have that much control over the price. There are some big ask walls out there but they're also moving: First they were at $6.55, then around $6.66, now they're around $6.70 depending on the exchange.

Pirate has absolutely no control over MtGox.  He probably doesn't even have an account.  We all know it's a Ponzi, so new investors are being used for payouts to older investors.  MtGox isn't even in the equation!
