Looks like a huge no. of Tx are left as unconfirmed on this address https://blockchain.info/address/1AYBhpkM64euN5LLhghXuPaz8n3PvT3DbT. You probably have some large unconfirmed input.

Another misinfo, its not about the transfer value, its about PRIORITY. Read bitcoin wiki to learn more about PRIORITY.

My Blockchain mobile app did that to me. Sent 1 btc with zero fees attached for some reason. Im my settings its set to "generous" and it sent it with nothing. Took about 2 days to confirm. I was not impressed.
