How to use API of BTC-E ?

Hi

I never checked API's for trading so need a little hint .. 

I have a "key" and "secret" for the BTC-E.com API but don't know how to access their API.

All I want is to automatically place orders and see which orders are still open. My coding language is C#/C++ so I wonder how to access my account from the API.
