Beta key script

What does it do?
It lets users request a key after which they have to activate their email and after that they receive their beta key via another email.
With this beta key you can login and access the pages that for example, need to be tested for bugs.
This is a great way of getting some testers for your website while not having to deal with thousands of people trying to break it or for example the first 20 people who get a key get 0,005 BTC in their balance to test out your casino.

What are the functions?
For the user:
Request a key -> activate email address -> receive beta key -> login on secure content -> resend key.

For the admin:

• Change the maximal amount of keys
• Change the start date of the test
• Change the end date of the test
• Manually add keys(this can override the maximal amount of keys)
• Add a custom beta key
• Admin option to delete all keys
• Search engine(search on key or email)

Thanks for the vouch copy of your code. I've gone over it and it all looks very straightforward. There is an encrypted function to actually create the beta keys that I could not vouch for but all of the original unencrypted code looks bug-free and does not contain any sort of back door. This script is pretty well-written and clearly does exactly what is advertised.

This script seems like it would be very easy to adapt to any sort of pilot or beta where limited enrollment would be desired. There's a simple hook location for your pages that can only be accessed after a key is verified, and everything is easy to reconfigure for any sort of deployment situation that could arise. There aren't any unnecessary layers of code or obfuscating class/function calls anywhere except for the encrypted portion, which is sensible.

This script uses PHP and MySQL, and doesn't have any system-intensive processing or heavy mathematics behind it that I can immediately detect.

Obviously, this script is not for people with zero PHP experience as it is simply a beta key system for an unspecified application (you fill in the blank!) but configuring this code for the purpose is simple, straightforward, and dependable.
