This key is from a former steam purchase of mine. How this works is steam has CD keys for all of it's copies of the game, while GOG has a program going on with CD Projekt where if you have any unclaimed (on gog) CD key you get a copy for that key; the key can be from anywhere, steam, CD boxset, what-have-you. The backup program works for both "The Witcher" and "The Witcher 2: Assassins of Kings" (If you didn't happen to know, Good old games is a subsidiary of CD projekt.)
