Where the heck has the OP been hiding?  Must've been one huge rock!   Shocked

Unfortunately(fortunately?), I have CNBC TV shoved down my face in my office, so all I saw was Coinbase and Gemini news and the Winklevii interview and Davos mentioning Bitcoin.

In my case, I couldn't help it, it was pretty apparent in the news headlines.

My friend, I started my break on the 27th - that was after the coinbase news.

Today I was in WHSmith a British bookshop. I was having a look at the top selling/rated non-fiction book shelf and  at number 16 was a book about bitcoin! This was in Euston train station. One of the busiest stations in the land. Now that was a surprising find.

I just spent a week away from all bitcoin websites. I realised that I couldn't finds any news on it unless I searched for it. The front pages of none of the big tech or financial websites had any news on it.

Well you likely missed wired although that isn't a really good measure
You need to define your search means

Believing in Bitcoins and it's ability to change the world

I follow two rules about Bitcoin news:
1) If the article has a photo of a physical coin, I skip the article.
2) If the article has a @#*$^ picture of Karpeles holding a physical coin, I never go back to the site.

I see the value of Bitcoin, so I don't worry about the price...

These are interesting (but good) principles. Care to elaborate?

Yes I did miss Wired. You are right. I mostly went to the big news sites looking at their technology and money sections. I went to fewer dedicated tech sites.

It would be like complaining about why you didn't find news about how awesome the internet was in the early 90's.

And this put things into perspective. People want moon - moon isn't coming for quite some time. Looking at the price every five minutes will not bring the moon quicker. There is much work ahead, otherwise no moon.

That proves bitcoin is yet to become mainstream media...like they carry major forex rates in almost all newspapers. Way to go.

What sites were you checking?

I noticed BBC (UK) always mentions Bitcoin when some big news happen, usually in 'Technology' section

I shaved my head, put on an orange robe and went to Tibet to live as a monk. I can't find any news about anything.

This is probably the ideal strategy to follow as a Bitcoin holder. Other than that will only bring massive stress.

Yeah, you really don't see that much mention of bitcoin in mainstream media lately, but should be more and more as time passes.
