Yes, without a doubt.

Especially when you have this guy in your backfield:

Yes, pretty bad call.

Also... Belichick not calling a timeout turned out to be a great decision.

Basically, they called a pick play and Butler recognized it and jumped on it. I think the whole "worst call" is blowing it out of proportion. Some blame has to be on Wilson to either make a better throw or throw it away if the route wasn't there cleanly. They tried to catch the Patriots off guard and it backfired. It happens. The way some of the Seahawks behaved afterwards, I'm glad they didn't win.

We were all yelling "call a time out what are you doing??!!"  Little did we know the genius behind belichicks no time out decision.  I think that forced seattle to rush the call and obviously blow the game.

You have the beast mode.

Beast mode has gotten 1 yard minimum the entire game every time he has been given the ball.

Throwing it even with 100% shit runners 1 yard from the end zone is highly risky, only corner throws should be made.

You are 1/2 yard from the end zone on the second down.

That had to be the worst play call in history.. I do not understand your and others point of view on how it was a good call.  EVEN if it succeded it would of been too risky of a play to use as they can intercept it.........

I had money on NE to win so I am glad they did I was and still am just utterly dumbfounded.

I want to say they did stuff Lynch at the line a couple times, but i also found these stats interesting:

http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/early-lead/wp/2015/02/02/seahawks-marshawn-lynch-isnt-exactly-money-from-the-1-yard-line/

Plus, Carroll had got to be thinking NE was expecting Lynch to get the ball, so he tried to outsmart them.  Anyway, I dont think it was the worst play call of all time, I think that is an exaggeration.  To say that would be to say Wilson is a bad qb, and he is not.  It was a poor pass selection by wilson, but moreso just an unbelievable read by Butler to make the int and seal the win.

He made the best call he thought at the time.
Running the ball very well may have ended up with them not getting in and the clock running out.
Passing may have allowed them one more play if they didn't catch the ball.
Unfortunately for the coach, it was picked off.
Yes it seems kind of stupid, but managing the clock is a game in itself.

Even if they ran it and Lynch got stuffed, the Seahawks still had a timeout remaining, so time was not a factor.

So in theory, they get run stuffed, call timeout, and they pass it on 3rd and 4th down, but still from the 1 yard line.

Just dumb situational play call all around.

stuffed and and a loss of 5 yards or back to the line.
But whatever I'm not here to argue over it. just saying what I think of it.

Not here to argue either, but say Lynch gets stuffed for loss to the 5 yard line.  They call timeout, and they still have 2 pass plays left.

When you're 1 yard away from the end zone, the probability and possibility of turnover running the ball is probably close to 1% or less.

The probability of a ball getting tipped, a wide receiver getting jammed, or just any sort of disaster is magnified at the goal line especially with a short QB like Russell Wilson.

Wrong play call period.

I know nothing about american football except that it should be called hand-foot-tackleball, but I think there has been worse plays than this in the history of superbowl.

Turn off the news and read. Watch Psywar, learn something important about our society and PR, why and how it got started and how it brainwashes you.

Not the worst call in superbowl
Not the worst call in football

It's the worst in game decision made in the history of professional sports, including but not limited to...
Football
Baseball
Basketball
Hockey
Tennis
Golf
Boxing
Automobile racing (every discipline)
Bowling
Surfing
Track & Field
Sport shooting (including the few times people have been killed!)
Chess
Swimming
Darts

I really disagree. It was a questionable play call and a poorly executed play, but outstanding defensive read. 99 times out of 100 that's probably a td pass, but butler made the right read and an unbelievable play
