Hi,

Any idea of what to do to access my bitcoins from somewhere else and then send them?

Thanks so much for your time

Here are a number of options:
https://en.bitcoin.it/wiki/How_to_import_private_keys

Retrieve your private key- http://bitcoin.stackexchange.com/questions/4203/how-can-i-export-the-private-key-for-an-address-from-the-satoshi-client

Are you sure you're importing the private key and not the address (which starts with 1)?
For security I recommend you to sweep the key instead of importing it.

If you keep having problems try Electrum. It's easy to use and secure.

Their support people say drag and drop is no longer supported:

So you will probably want to export the private key and import it elsewhere.  Then probably move the coins to a new address just to be safe.

Do not import your priv key into any online wallet, Especially blockchain.info. it's not reliable.
But you can create a tx with a non synced wallet, after that you can broadcast this tx to network. It'll be sent to miners.

How far behind is your Bitcoin-QT now?  Instead of having to mess around with exporting and importing of your private keys, it could be worth just waiting until it syncs, if you are only a few weeks behind.
Obviously if you are still more than a few months behind, then you might be better off exporting the private key.

Your best bet is to use some lightweight wallet if you need immediate access to your BTC.  You'll have to export your private key from your Bitcoin-Qt application via the debug console:
Code:
dumpprivkey "YOURBTCADDRESS"
You then import that key into your lightweight wallet (like MultiBit).

Jonny's Pool - Mine with us and help us grow!  Support a pool that supports Bitcoin, not a hardware manufacturer's pockets!  No SPV cheats.  No empty blocks.
