Will BTC ever reach $1000 again, and if you choose "Yes." when do you think that will happen?
Since we had no problem hitting >1200$ with almost no global trending, imagine all the spread thats going to come over the years, 1k is nothing and will come, but on the question when, its much harder to give an answer, but it would have to come atleast after next halving, since its hard to raise value when 3600 bitcoins are mined day in - day out. Bitcoin is starting to be used as some kind of store of value, and thats something that can only grow over the years and controlled supply. cheers

Unless we have whales/exchange who want to cash in then no i do not believe we will see $1000 again, at least it is more in this reality than the $1 000 000 crew

by 2017 there will be another financial mess and BTC will be far easier to buy and hold securely. I say by the end of 2016....

From todays rock bottom prices that would be a 4 or 5 times rise. It is very very easily achievable. Bitcoin is GLOBAL form of money, decentralised and will withstand collapse of fiat currencies around the world. I'd guess by 2017 even if we experience severe deflation in western economies it is quite likely to reach 1000 by then. Bitcoin is also scarce.. If we experience hyperinflation in the economy then bitcoin will go beyond the moon. Be a fool not to have some skin in the game.

While I agree that it's a pretty sure thing and when is the question at hand but we could see it this year. Some think we could get another bottom and in the event of that the buying pressure could lift off significantly as the last of the sellers of exited the market. Or, we could see these pumps and dumps for a few more months achieving higher highs and lows, then a consolidation for a period of time. Then, it could be a scenario where it resembles what happened in the spring of 2013 where it did a 5-6X+ move then retreated and gave way for another ~10X later that fall/winter which was the real boom into the stratosphere. Barring that, we could just keep retesting resistance lines and steadily increase on average for some time til the next bull market. However, I'm pretty sure w/ all the hot stuff going on in the ecosystem right now that the next halving will be priced in far before the halving itself. That's something I'm fairly certain of.

I voted yes, though I don't see it surpassing that mark this year, 2015.
I could easily see it surpass $1000 either next year or the following year, after more growth, more exchanges, more development, more acceptance, and more investment.

If I was holding Bitcoin I would be very frightened by the results of this poll..
Bitcointalk.org speculation polls have a history of showing the majority to be brutaly wrong time and time again.
I voted NO, just out of spite.....although if Bitcoin is going to survive I would imagine it would have to get up to $1000 again....some time within the next decade.....or two.....maybe.
