Just saw Cavirtex is stopping bitcoin exchange operations effective almost immediately after they got compromised on feb 15. This sucks for me because I use Cavirtex and their prepaid Mastercard and debit cards to pay my bills. Who else is reliable? Preferably in canada? I need to set something up asap.

cheers!

Damn that's a huge blow to Canada's Bitcoin industry. Some hacker is getting into a lot exchanges recently. I highly recommend taking almost all your crypto off exchanges.

I've been warning people about CaVirtex for a long, long time.  This is good news :-)  It was the worst exchange in Canada

Quadriga has been great, virtex has sucked for a long time, saw this coming, if you didn't you have your head buried.

That being said, I keep little coin on exchanges, and am verified on as many as possible.

In wonder if this is just carelessness of these exchanges or what? You know that there is a huge threat to get hacked. Spend some real money on protection if you want your exchange to be around for the long-term!
