Here are a few tips you can use around here. Regarding jobs look for the threads that starts with "HIRING" and start yours with "FOR HIRE". Diversify the threads according to the skills. So a thread for SEO, another for wordpress and another for the yummy yummy stuff  .

Also try redit/bitcoin, Freelance, elance and bit tasks.
