I accidentally clicked sweep Bitcoin on my blockchain wallet instead of importing it because that's what blockchain reccomended. It looks like blockchain sent the Bitcoin to one of its existing addresses. However, I have no idea how to access this Bitcoin now that it has been swept. I am posting this because I really need help accessing the Bitcoin and putting it in my wallet.
Your blockchain.info wallet's balance should have been updated to show the new bitcoins. If you go to the "Receive money" tab, you can see the addresses that hold your bitcoins, including the new address that was created by sweeping the private key, but you don't really have to know the exact addresses that hold your bitcoins. If the bitcoins are in your wallet, then your wallet will know how to send them.
Sweeping simply sends the bitcoins to a new address in your blockchain.info wallet, rather than importing the old address. The benefit of doing this is that if you did not sweep, then somebody else could still take your bitcoins if they obtained the private key.
For example, suppose that you import (without sweeping) a private key from a paper wallet and you throw the paper wallet in the trash. Then, someone going through your trash could find the paper wallet, import the private key into their wallet, and spend the bitcoins. Remember: wallets don't actually hold bitcoins -- they hold addresses and private keys.
