I have a new Antminer U3 that I setup this morning on a Windows 2012 server with cgminer 4.9.0.(the server is the only PC at my house that is on 24 hours a day) I got it working but instead of the advertised rate of 63Gh/s I am getting like 14-17Gh/sand I was getting a lot of errors like below.

 [2015-04-11 11:09:49] AU3 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
[2015-04-11 11:10:12] AU3 0: No valid hashes for over 1 secs, attempting to reset
 [2015-04-11 11:10:12] AU3 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
[2015-04-11 11:11:15] Block height change to 351697 detected on pool 0
[2015-04-11 11:11:44] AU3 0: No valid hashes for over 1 secs, attempting to reset
 [2015-04-11 11:11:44] AU3 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS

 [2015-04-11 11:12:01] AU3 0 attempted reset got err:(0) LIBUSB_SUCCESS
[2015-04-11 11:12:56] AU3 0: No valid hashes for over 1 secs, attempting to reset

I found a post on another forum where someone got the same errors and was told "get a new higher quality USB". I can't register on that forum because their forum software is garbage though, so I was unable to get clarification on if they meant a higher quality USB ASIC device, or a better USB port. (USB 2.0 or 3.0 instead of USB 1.1?)

So I took the U3 off of my server and moved it to my Win7 desktop PC with all USB 3.0 ports. I plugged it in and ran zadig to install the driver the same way I did on my server and it doesn't detect the device at all to install the driver. Subsequently cgminer doesn't detect it either. I tried it in multiple USB 3.0 ports on the PC as well as the USB 1.1 ports on my keyboard and it is not detected in either.

Anyone have any advice?

*** Update ***

I got up to 56Gh/s by changing the command in my my batch file from this...

cgminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:8332 -u fred -p password --btc-address <address>

to this

cgminer.exe -o http://127.0.0.1:8332 -u fred -p password --au3-freq 225 --au3-volt 800 --btc-address <address>

Still less than advertised, but much better than 14-17 and so far no errors. <knocks on wood>

56-58 is actually about where they run for me, so that's likely the best you will get. If it's stable and error free, run with it!

If you are using Zadig drivers you might as well use usb 2.0 instead of 3.0 for better quality. Had this issue with PRISMA asic tube before.
