Hello
I got last month SP20 at 215 $/Ths
happy with deal, but because soldout must look others.
SP31 i think is overpriced.
Also I see at zoomhash S4 and SP10 , i think a bit expensive, because i get about the same ratio $/Ths than SP20´s

so I will thanks your opinions to know where and what to buy actually

If you haven't taken a gander at the hardware forum here you go https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=75.0
Other than that, Spondoolies looks to be all out of hardware as well as Bitmain.
You could try lee's group hosting https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=934581.0

For now wait it out to see if the companies release some new chips.

if its not spoondolies, i would go with antminer S5 or just wait for the next gen miners, bitmain may be releasing something in the incoming months.

Either way the SP gear or S5 you should be happy.

A lot depends on your electricity price.  Some older gear makes sense on really low electricity.

@ op  the antminer s-3 can be found very cheap.  So if you have really cheap power the s-3 can work.

I run 2 s-3's in my friends office. they do 850gh and use 650 watts. I can run them because power in this setup is 2.4 cents.

I can only run 2 machines as the power available  is about 800 watts. These machines earn 74 dollars a month and the low cost power costs 15 usd a month  so then profit 59 usd a month.

Since you can buy them for about 60 usd  2 plus a psu cost close to 220 usd in 4 months you have you money back.

If you have a psu cost for 2 is 120 usd and in 2 months time you will have your money back.  If you don't have cheap power it is hard to make money with any gear.

You can compare price with bitmain tech's Antminer S5, seems to be pretty good and energy efficient. Good luck.

I think it all depends on the price you are willing to spend on it. But is buying any hardware really worth it ?  as a better miner is expected to be released this year, as the halving is to happen soon ?

Has Bitmain ever commented on the fact that if they have any plans for the S6 to come out soon ?
Nope, but it fits the line of work. s1 into s2 server mount based miner, s3 into s4 server mount based miner.

The best miner at the moment is the antminer S3 and why not also the SP20 (http://www.spondoolies-tech.com/products/holiday-special-sp20-jackson-shipping-from-stock).

IMHO, unless u have free electricity, u should buy a mining contract rather than a miner...

I respectfully disagree about cloudmining being a viable option for most people.
If cloudmining is the only option, IE you cannot run a miner at home, do not spend your time learning how to profit from it, but learn to trade or simply hold the coin.
The time it takes to learn is ridiculous -  how to choose the correct cloudmining company, contracts, and the payout structure is built for you to make small profits if profitable for anyone except the service being offered.
Use that same time and learn to trade correctly, or as I said simply purchase the coin the correct ways and hold them.

Having the hardware in your hands or holding the coin are my personal choices.

I have experienced various cloud mining offers, they are almost all the same. You lose or make pennies, they win and make the real money.

If you are already an experienced hardware miner then scan the forum everyday and find your deal, but All OF the current offers are way overpriced. Only a bulk purchase paying 360 or less per used SP20 makes sense.

In the first line I said most people because there are ways to be profitable with some cloudmining, but you have to align several data points which are rare to find in a real company.

I know SPtech and Bitmain are making partnerships worldwide to highly invest in cloudmining partnerships. Until I see SPtech launch their own cloud mining I am very closed minded about it. The only reason I would look hard at SPtech is because they have shown me what they will do for the customer, and are legitimate.
Bitmain is the polar opposite, and once they have your money, no longer care.

Transaction fees go to the pools and the pools decide to pay them to the miners. Anything else, including off-chain solutions are stealing and not the way Bitcoin was intended to function.
Make the block size set by the pool. Pool = miners and they get the choice.

I would say owning miner is better.  You most likely are better off going with hosting of a miner if you cant do it yourself.  At end of hosting you have a miner to sell.  At end of cloud you have nothing.   And a lot of cloud mining turn out to be scams.

I own two antminer s3+s, and have fiddled around with some cloud mining, most of them have run off with my .001BTC. I did like cryptsy's consolidated mining, just because i got them at .0002 and sold for .0005 a piece.

Check out the bitmain s5, or the spondoles SP20's or SP31's if you can find them. Don't think just about the upfront cost,  but also about power consumption.
