Maybe I will go to Shenzhen soon. Is it possible to find a cheap hotel there for maybe 40:- RMB or so?

I was actually thinking about 40:- RMB. I have updated the OP.

I stay in a small town now closer to Nanning and there are hotels here for 40:-

But I wonder about Shenzhen.

Is it possible to find a cheap hotel like that in Shenzhen too?

Maybe I will go there to try to get a longer visa.

Naning is provincial capital of GuangXi ,that provincial is very poor in china.
But shenzhen is one of top 3 city in china .So.......

40CNY/night and feeling safe? Just impossible. I used to live there, the most common hotel that can make you feel safe and comfortable would cost 150CNY at least, anyway if you;re looking for a long term hotel, the price may be lower.

ShenZhen is one of the most prosperous cities in the world where people pay 1 million dollar for average house, so just give up your 40 CNY.
