No, Russia is not stupid and as very big country, they will for sure accept it.
I think that when they officially do it, then price might go up, as they are big nation, many investors from there will jump in.

No, you're wrong, they did ban Bitcoin, the law published in last year and they are starting to execute it recently.

I think it's not going to be easy for them to enforce the ban. It won't last.

Putin's rich buddies aren't subjected to the same laws that the masses are. Sooner or later, these big boys will get their buys going especially when the market gets moving and they're witnessing their US counterparts collecting profits.

Chef Ramsay

Yes, that is an excellent observation on realities in Russia. There already plenty of rumors that Putin is the world's richest man, and several different rumors that he is worth on the order of $40 billion.

He did not get all that money without a lot of help along the way by his oligarch pals.  Putin's cronies will indeed share in the riches that Western technology (like Bitcoin) may bring to the world.

Russia has always been a bare-knuckled kind of place.  Those who wind up on top smashed the fingers of those they stepped on climbing the ladder.  Our system here in "the West", even with all of its problems, is not the nasty place that Russia is.  As to whether or not the Putin Oligarchs can control Bitcoin, I have no idea...  That may depend on the spirit of the Russian people.
