Hi all,

Firstly I'm not sure if this is in the right section so please move if necessary.

EDIT: Please note this is for occasional big rig(s) solo mining not long term contract rental.

Does anyone know if its possible to rent short term hash for credit cards or debit cards?

I like miningrigrentals.com but you need btc to rent rigs. I'd like a similar service where you can pay with a card.

I don't want a long term / lifetime mining contract, just short term (3-72 hrs) rig rental.

Any suggestions or advice appreciated.

Sadly it will be cheaper to buy BTC then to rent and mine.   You pay a premium to rent a rig.   Most don't like credit cards, only one I know that had a beta was lease rig of it and they are pretty much dead.

I think one of few ways with credit card/debit card is go through ebay looking for a contract and buy it through paypal.

And again I suggest buying BTC in this situation, but if for some reason you have to I think ebay is one of very few options.

Thanks for your reply Smiley, sorry I should have mentioned it was for solo mining (have edited first post).

Every now and again I like renting substantial hash and pointing it at a solo mining pool with the chance of hitting a block (unlikely as it is).

It would be much easier for me to buy direct with a card rather than buying btc then paying with that.

Ebay is an option thanks hadn't thought about that only problem there is size of the rigs and monitoring.

I would suggest setting up something such as coinbase.  If you use it for a while you can get to instant BTC (have to have credit card on file, and check account, and some other things or instant).

But you can set up a checking account and use it just for coinbase.  Get BTC through there, then rent.  That would be your best option if your wanting a large amount to solo mine.

You used to be able to do so on a site called Leaserig.net, but it seems that the site no longer provides any support, so I doubt that'll work.
It would be way easier to get some bitcoin from circle/coinbase and use that to rent the mining power.

Thank you I've set up an account at coinbase Smiley.

Yes, you can buy mining power with credit card from https://leaserig.net/.
