Heads up, if you have bitcoin on the exchange Yacuna you have until Nov 15th to withdraw it. Yacuna sent an email to customers stating they are shutting down. More info: http://bitcoinx.io/archived/yacuna/

I have never heard of that exchange until now, I wonder why they are shutting down although it says they might be moving onto other projects, a shame to lose an exchange.

At least it sounds as though as it's done on good terms. They said in the email that they hope for "support in our future projects," so maybe they have something else up their sleeves. There are hundreds of bitcoin exchanges on the market, so I don't think losing some here and there is too bad as long as it's on good terms (not being hacked, shut down due to regulation, banks, etc).

Same. I'm from the uk and never heard of it. Maybe it was some regulatory pressure. It's very difficult to comply fully with all the various laws surrounding an exchange. At least they didn't just pull an exit scam.

I have heard about it earlier this year, first it was closed then opened again
Here is the detailed (original) email that i received today:

Dear Yacuna customer,

we want to thank you for all your loyalty and trust. Bitcoin is a wonderful technology and we are proud, that we have developed one of the first European exchanges for virtual currency. But everything comes to an end. Therefore we will close the exchange at Yacuna.com on November 15th 2015.

Please check if you still have any account balance left on our exchange. If so, please withdraw it to your banking account or virtual currency wallet respectively before November 15th 2015.

We will manually batch and process withdrawals of all currencies. Please understand that this process may take some time until completed.

We´d like to thank you again for being a customer of Yacuna. We hope that you will continue to be an integral part of the Bitcoin community and support us in our future projects.

Sincerely,

The Yacuna team

Never heard of it, as many users in the is thread. It's good to see though that they are ending their business in friendly terms and honoring their customer funds. It's good that they just haven't run away with people's money, as many other crypto exchanges have done already!

We don't need any more drama!

Absolutely right. Until now i've joined here never heard of yacuna before.

I think not many people join there. So there is not really have big effect into bitcoin market globally.
