Okay, I'll tell a real one, but please don't turn me in.
Of late, I've been joking about smashing mailboxes. I've never done such acts. But, I did steal a mailbox ONCE, and ONLY once. I was 24+ years old and living in Jackson, TN. I worked at Waffle House as a cook at the time, and did landscaping (done of that info is relevant to the story except for authenticity).
My buddy and I stole the following person's mailbox:
