I just read over stories of people who got arrested by the US government for trading Bitcoins either in person or on LBC. Most of them have been arrested by the government for selling large amounts ($10k+) and have been targeted because it is considered as an illegal money transmitting business. What I wonder and think about is how the government is harassing big Bitcoin traders after they sold off tens-thousands of SR bitcoins to the public. Isn't the government guilty for selling bitcoins for money and therefore hypocritical of them to do so?

The Government is an entity empowered by those it governs. It is not an individual - though it is operated by individuals. The Silk Road case is an interesting one in that it exposes both "The Government" as an Entity and "The Government" as individuals. As an Entity, the Government shut down Silk Road and put a citizen in the position of going to prison. As Individuals, there are two people within the government that are now also in the position of possibly going to prison, because they allegedly acted on their own, and not on behalf of the Entity.

So, Government, the entity, can collect taxes, drop bombs, and enforce border rules 50 miles inside the border, but individuals cannot. If you want to change Government, you must convince the society that allows itself to be governed to accept the change. Education, by the way, is very very expensive.

Since when do the government care about being hypocrites. Everything they do is hypocritical and they only exist by stealing money via taxes (which is theft). They continually lie cheat steal murder and launder tax payers money and it's perfectly legal for them to do so without recourse because they make the rules. They're corrupt at every level and will always come after their paycheck and they don't care who they trample on in the process.
