I sent some bitcoin to a site and it is asking for the "transaction id / hash "
In response I sent "d84741dd14002137d9beb2b54a2329506bc77125a504071dd230f57232b107cd"
It was for 2btc and has over 20 confirmations. The site says "invalid transaction" when i give that hash.

What am I doing wrong here?

Thanks in advance

Am I right in posting just "d84741dd14002137d9beb2b54a2329506bc77125a504071dd230f57232b107cd" in the box and hit submit button right? Or is there something else I should be putting in the box all it says is "Transaction ID / Hash Code"

It is fishy, it one of those hyip sites. I use a bunch of them and eventually they all burn you.. but i have been making back my initial investment and then around two hundred percent before they disappear and run with the money. This ones deposit method is different than the ones that I have been using I think I am entering it wrong because this site is still paying out as of now

You send 2 BTC to a Ponzi?? It will be a miracle if they pay you back anything. Don't waste your money on Ponzi schemes, in the end they all run away when they have accumulated enough.

i guess the only thing you did wrong is you sent 2BTC to a non trusted person/company.. there is a high chance of you not getting back your coins.

It's hard to tell what he sent to.  Looking at account this is first time he's posted.

It does sound like something odd as transaction did go through.  Can't think of site that would show it as invalid.

Yeah I know I think the bitcoin app on my phone caused it. I have done another transaction from the regular bitcoin wallet on a pc and the site works fine.

It went through just fine so its not your phone. Double check your address that the site asked you to send payments to. Did they specify an exact amount for example 2.010293BTC? If so, the server might not have picked up the transaction correctly and didn't credit you. Since the coins has not been moved, there are only two reasons.
1. The backend is not synced to the latest block/crashed therefore, it doesn't know about your transaction.
2. The site is a scam and wanted to trick you in thinking you didn't send them or sent to the wrong address.
Either way, try to contact support first.

Their support figured it out, my account was linked to the wallet on my pc. I made the transaction from my phone (different private key). When I inputed the hash of the transaction it did not match that it came from my wallet. It is their way of making sure someone on the blockchain can't watch the deposits to their wallet and transfer the deposits to their account on the system first. It is pretty crappy way of doing it but, hey the backend of all these sites has been written by some Russian programmer that sales it to them for 100USD. Works for me though I can't complain they payout and when they stop I move on to the next one. Some people like going to Vegas and letting the house take their money.. I risk it where the odds are a little bit more in my favor lol

I don't want to post their info, but with the rate info I gave you can do your own research by a quick google search for HYIP. It is one of the top rated ones right now on the monitoring sites. They are in the top ten, because some of the trolls on here will say I am with them if I post the info. Just be really careful if you get involve with these sites once they are more than 200days old they usually run with the money. I started off with 20,000USD last year, I lost about 5,000USD of that initial money but walked away with just less than 100K USD. They are high risk you got to know what you are doing. I invest 100-500 in each.. and wait to see what happens. The interest rates are all too good to be sustainable. But hey its better than making less than 1% in a bank Wink

Plus I can't work anymore after a car accident two years ago, so I research for about 1-2hrs each day and make my moves.. So this is my way of making money for now

With you sharing nothing and being so vague i'm surprised you asked for help.

20k to 100k.... enjoy the ponzi.  Not to mention a year ago BTC was quite a bit higher in price.    Anything that "interest rates are all too good to be sustainable" will not last long.

I was simply asking if it looked like there was something wrong with the transaction on the blockchain I was not asking you for financial advice . If I wanted advice on financial investment practices I'd go see a financial planner lol. If I posted the name of the site all I get is a bunch of crap from people just like you.. This is the reason why I don't even come on this forum anymore. Back in the days when it started it was a good place to go for technical help with Bitcoin. If you're really that desperate to find out what the site name is, like I said in the post above a quick Google search will give you the info. The info is not required to see if there's an issue with the transaction all its going to do is give you more fuel for your fire of crap. Enough said have a good day.
