I have a pair of Gridseed Black miners. They come (for those that don't know) with Pi controllers. These controllers run software called "GridMiner". Both of them are running version 1 of this software. Does anyone know where this software comes from? I am trying to find out if there are updates available.

Yes, I know I can just replace it with other controller software but I would like to find out if this software has been updated before I go that route.

Thanks all!

I tried Minera with my Blades and though I liked the visual interface, was not thrilled with the software. It would do "strange" things. I use "level 10" SD cards (like is recommended) but the two Pi(s) I have (one B and one B+) would loose the image and I would have to re-burn them every week or two. It would usually screw up when I was away from home so I would wind up loosing 6 to 8 hours of hashing per incident.

ZoomHash is marginally better in that it typically works fine and so I use that for them. ZoomHash does have an issue with the update form, you have to supply all form fields when making any change or it nulls out your settings. Pain in the butt that... Also, every once in a while the reject rate would skyrocket for a few minutes every once in a while and then settle back down to normal hashing.

I would love to find a GridMiner software update that added individual device reporting but can't locate where it came from to check there.

I never had a card crap out.  I got the best results out of an older version of Minera (I would have to put a pi online to check).  Even though there were updates I stuck with the older version.
