When mining on Nicehash, it says most of the time that Quarkcoin are the most profitable. I have a multi-algo sgminer setup that follows the most protitable coin to mine.

1) But I was wondering, why do when I look on WhatToMine and such websites, I never seen Quarkcoins?

2) I tried to mine Neoscrypt earlier but only got HW errors. Any idea why?

3) I often read people mining a particuliar coin, let's say Startcoin which uses the X11 algo. How do they mine Startcoin when in fact they are mining X11? I don't understand this.

4) I mined X11, X13, Quarkcoins on Nicehash so far and they all seems to get the same profit, maybe Quark gets a little more but I don't know.

5) Any guidance on what I should mine? or at least what I should be looking for when I look at a chart like Nicehash.com chart?

Thanks so much and have a nice day.

1) http://www.coinwarz.com/
2) What mining setup? AMD I suppose (/me flees) Tell us more.
3) Every coin has its algorithm. Some make their own, some copy it from another coin. X11 from Darkcoin/Dash has been copied a lot by now.
4) Good for you, is this a question? Cheesy
5) Experience is your best guidance. You can start at sites like WhatToMine, Coinwarz, etc... or look at multipool prices at www.poolpicker.eu or www.cryp.today Wink

2) Yes it's indeed AMD, I have a 280x right now but I've just started testing. I guess Neoscrypt isn't AMD compatible?

3) The thing I don't understand is how a people mine a particular coin. For example if I mine on NiceHash, who could I mine Peercoins for example?

4) My question was, rates seem to be almost the same. Nicehash shows X11 as the most profitable, but crypt.today shows that X13 is the most profitable. How can I be sure of what has the best rates when every websites seem to have their own data? My guess is "mine it and you'll know it" but I'm asking people with more experience just in case there's something I don't know about yet.

Thanks for your reply
