This Chip Turns a Dumb Phone Into a Bitcoin Wallet

BitSIM is a small, dual-chip overlay that is physically placed atop a phone's regular SIM card. Once there, the BitSIM turns that phone – even if it's a “dumb” phone – into a Bitcoin wallet.

Sounds great but who is going to pay for that?
Also, let's think about it for a moment. Imagine some farmers finding these thingies on the ground, dropped from a plane. Do you really think they'd plug it into their phones and start using Bitcoin just like that? Cheesy

M-pesa runs on most phones in Africa, so they are a bit more clued up, to what Sim cards is, than what most might think.  Wink

Nigeria has more mobile phones than France / UK / Japan / Italy ..... Source : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_countries_by_number_of_mobile_phones_in_use

Let's seriously think about that, if we are serious about bringing Bitcoin to the "un-banked" {hope there is such a word}  Wink
