I will preface my question with the statement that I do not want to do bankwire or anything that would indicate to my primary bank that I am trading / using / buying BTC.  I have heard horror stories of frozen bank accounts and/or delays with some of the larger banks if they find out you want to move your own money from their bank to fund BTC.  The last thing I need is have a frozen bank account and not be able to buy food, pay the mortgage, etc.  For that reason I do all BTC funding through a prepaid Mastercard debit card.

In the past I have used Virwox to convert USD from my debit card to (eventually) BTC's.  It is costly and timely given the daily limits and conversion from USD to SLL to BTC.  I have been looking for other ways but many exchanges I have looked at only accept CC funding through companies such as OKPay and PerfectMoney.  Neither of which will accept US customers.

Has anyone else from the US had these issues and how did they get around them (legally Grin )?

Hello, virwox is the only site that I know of that allows cc/paypal for funding. Have you tried localbitcoins.com?

Thanks sweetNlow.
I have kept an eye on localbitcoins.com but most reasonable offers to sell require bank transfer or cash deposit.  There is one I have seen that takes Paypal but I am concerned that PP will freeze my account for review if they realize where the transaction is going to.  Am I too paranoid (regarding this issue)?  Cheesy
