Gridseed Controller help needed

In the last month I have had 2 controllers give me this message: "The CGI process did not produce any response".  Can someone please tell me what this means and how to fix it?

I have read through that entire thread and have not seen anything on how to fix.  I have unplugged and restarted several times.  I am not familiar with how to "flash" updates to these.  One is the original and had no changes made to it, the other I got last week.
