If I was a prospective customer that is deciding between a 10g assayed bar and your 10g gold cube, besides price, why would I choose your cube and what type of certification can you provide that it is .995 gold and 10 grams in weight as the previously interested party stated?
He can't produce anything, i was in talks to buy this but all he could provide was the company email and web link.
The cube is apparently produced in the US but not known where the gold is originally from.
IMO i wouldn't recommend buying this unless you live close and can both meet at a jewellers or pawn shop to check the quality.

I am not saying this guy is trying to scam just be careful!

I'm going to post some more pics when I get home on Saturday with some nice angled shots and good lighting. Ognasty for escrow. If its fake gold, well then we will know and can ask bitgold.com about it. I won the 10g gold cube and I don't see why it wouldn't be legitimate.

Nobody has said that this piece is fake at all, but ask yourself if you were buying gold off the internet wouldn't you want some type of certification to prove the piece you are buying is of correct weight and real gold?

Ill offer 275$ OG as escrow. If it turns out to be fake, you pay return shipping and what not.

EDIT: I take my offer back because of this thread

What is your concern here, is it that bitgold may be selling fake gold or is it that your worried about not receiving the gold at all?
If your concern is not receving the gold then i think your ok there, this sale is not from bitgold and OGnasty is a great escrow,
Not sure if he can verify gold quality though, would be good if he could post here about his thoughts on gold escrow.

I have problems with an obvious scam site selling gold.

Did they own the domain back then? So far they have proved themselves to me at least of being a legitimate startup in Canada.

I am sure they just so happened to choose the name of a domain that was scamming 10+ years ago.

bitgold to me seems like a fairly generic name. If I am going to share the company to my friends through social media, I would like to know the truth. They claim on bitgold.com also their VC's. Any truth to that? Doesn't scream scam to me, just saying.

Independent evaluation of bitgold.com and their operation is the only way to find out what is truly happening within the company.

Sounds like a good try for a scam if they give away a couple of 10g prizes of real gold to get people's confidents back.
