Hello everyone, I just wanted to make a thread to list some good info that can end up saving you guys from being the next scam victim's.

You will notice allot of different offers in this section and I want to warn you that at least 80% of them are scams (or will turn scam at some point).

Here are some tips that I can give you to help you stay away from the sketchy sites and also help you find the real offers.

Tip #1: "If it's too good to be true, it most likely is"

You will see offers like "56 times your money in 100 hours" or "double your bitcoin overnight... or in any set amount of time" and ALL of those offers are fake and they only make the offers to get "suckers" to fall for their tricks.

Why do they keep making sites/offers like that?

Because they make big profits by offering a crazy return on bitcoin investments, then they spend some money to promote it around the crypto world (banners, links, signatures)... then they just keep all the deposits made by the victims.

DO NOT Be Tricked By Fake Payment History Or "SOME" People Being Paid (at the start of the scam).

Tip #2: Never invest in a site that's sole reason for being online is to offer you the "investment opportunity" because their main goal is to build trust and then take off with a huge amount of bitcoin (everyone's deposits) but only after they build some trust in the community.

Examples: (ALL of these sites are very sketchy and I Do NOT recommend using any of them!)

bitcoin724.com
profitcoins.org
14daily.com
coinsdouble.com
cryptoincrease.com
hourly-coin.com
doublebot.com
ECT....

Helpful info:

You may see a famous bitcoin/crypto scam that has been going around (hundreds of sites use the same template)...

This is what the scam states...

Quote
"No matter how secure and innovative would be Bitcoins, they are just some bytes on a digital storage medium and they can be copied as well as any digital information. We've thoroughly studied the Bitcoin client from within and have found an almost imperceptible but very significant flaw (associated with the commission), using it we have committed a Bitcoin transaction in which the recipient has received more Bitcoins than the sender has sent. Unfortunately, the difference is not so great (about 1%) and if you make only one transaction by a small amount your capital will not increase much, but if you make transactions permanently and by a large amount, you can get rich very quickly.

We've discovered this flaw recently and have not yet managed to win a lot, but every day we multiply our money hundredfold times and want to do it more. We all understand that such a freebie can not continue for a lot of time and this flaw will be found and corrected in the near future, but until that happens, we want to win as much as possible. That is why we have launched this website, where you can make an investment and we will multiply it twenty times. Half of this money we will give to you, it means that your investment will be returned to you hunderfold in the next 24 hours.

All you have to do is to transfer some Bitcoins to address listed below (we do not accept investments below 0.01 Bitcoins) and your investment will be multiplied hundredfold and will be transferred to your wallet within 24 hours."

Then they state "why trust us?"

Quote
"You can see the transaction history of our project with links to Blockchain and make sure that we withdraw Bitcoins to people . In addition, you won't find any project that could multiply your Bitcoins hunderfold in a day, so if you won't try you'll miss your chance to get rich."

Then to lock it in for some people that this is a real offer... they have "real looking" payment history that looks like people are getting paid when really all the payments are just random payments that they picked from the blockchain.

Here is an example of this type of scam: https://2xbitco.in/ (they even have a fancy https url)  Roll Eyes

Guys, PLEASE do not fall for this trick because it is tricking allot (too many) bitcoin newbies and some of them leave bitcoin and the crypto world and never look back.

I found a good youtube video that will help allot of you to understand bitcoin a little more so you can see that "hacking bitcoin" can not be done (anymore).

YouTube Video >> https://youtu.be/J8y_GypCWf4

I will try to add to this list of tips over the next few days.

Please post your tips to help others stay safe.

I hope this thread can save some of you from being the scammers next victims. Wink

Very well said GuessWho! I would just add another copy paste template of "we are professional traders" to your first template in Tip#2.

So basically what you are saying is to not touch any of the "investment" ponzis on this section
The way I see it, there are:
- very few guys that keep innovating the concept OR running fair and transparent game
- then there are majority of guys (probably just kids) copy pasting GC script or other templates dreaming about getting rich and powerful by scamming other people between math and biology classes...
- and finally last but not least there are those who make living out of programming those scripts&templates and advising those kids on how to scam properly Cheesy

I think that is the idea.

Thanks for posting this list.  You would think that it would be obvious, but people keep falling for it over and over again.  A good tip also: if you are interested in any sort of investment/cloud mining/ etc, search for a thread about it on these forums first.  This is generally the best place to start looking for information.  You have to make your own decisions, but you find interesting things like the 999dice story.  It is an easy way to avoid obvious traps (besides just not doing ponzis to begin with.)
