Hi guys, how you doing?

Wanted to post a topic as I have just bought a very small amount of bitcoin on local coins and transferred through to my recently opened easy coin wallet.

The coins are visible in the wallet and after reading many forums over the past hour i have found that i may lose them due to a scam. its a vey small amount so not really going to cause any bother but i thought id post the scenario as I go.

The coins are in the wallet at the moment, ive tried transferring them out to my chosen recipient but it just passes me back to a blank screen and the coins are still in the wallet?

Have sent support messages and waiting on replies.

Any thoughts apart from the money is gone. because if its gone its gone and im a penis but ive read on other forums with other peoples experiences that as soon as the BTC was sent to easy coin they did not even appear in the wallet and where instead transferred immediately to a different wallet which is widely known as a scam deposit wallet. Any ideas why the coins are actually their but it wont allow me to send on? is it a case that when i wake up they are going to be gone when the bloke wakes up and realises he has more coins to scam ?

Cheers

It's a scam. Sorry for your loss, you're lucky it was just a small amount.
I know a few people that lost over 6 BTC on this fake wallet.
The "support" there definitely will not answer to any of your requests/tickets.
I would recommend you using https://greenaddress.it if you would like to use a web wallet, as you've got partial control over the funds (multi-signature addresses)

Its all good really, my own fault, it was my very first BTC transaction but hey you win and lose some i guess.

Im very glad it was such a small amount, do you believe that they will empty the wallet within 24 hours?

Im just a little confused why it was not emptied straight away and that i can still; sit and look at my coins in the wallet. i guess the balance will show zero in 24 hours or so?

As far as I know, they always keep your wallet running "as usual". But in reality you don't have access over your funds, also if they're visible.
The thief may will lock your account, but I guess he just leaves your wallet as it is right now and empties your real deposit address.

And sorry: I meant https://greenaddress.it, not greenwallet.

Surely it has been emptied straight away? If it's a scamsite then that isn't your address; it's theirs. They don't need to move the money anywhere as it belongs to them in their wallets. If you're going to use an online wallet use blockchain.info and make sure you set up all of the security features.
