I recently got a raspberry pi and would like to run my ModMiner Quad from it. It is recommended to run the MMQ with the latest BFGMiner, however it has not been compiled for the pi. Can someone post a simple howto on this? I have never compiled anything in linux before and am newish to the command line in general. I tried google and failed.... I cant imagine its too hard to do, I just need some help.

Here's a link to the wiki for the MMQ that has a copy of a binary for the Raspberry Pi. Unfortunately it's an old version, 2.5.1 It'll get you started though.

Thanks for the reply, that is why I started this thread tho. I asked Tom if he had a newer version pre-compiled and he does not. The latest version is faster and more stable which is why I want to run it.

Looking at that quickly, you should be able to compile BFGMiner easily using the same steps, only using the download from

https://github.com/luke-jr/bfgminer/downloads instead of the CGminer one.

After over an hour messing with it I think its working.... not sure of the speed yet vs running it on windows but I'll let it go and fins out in the morning.

Thanks for the link!!

After 10 hours this is what Im getting...

1 ModMiner Quad with the lastest firmware (as of this post)
1 Raspberry Pi running Wheezy
BFGMiner 2.7.5 compiled by me (who knows if i did it right)

5s:835 avg:761 u:741 A:6359 R:5 HW:5 E:29% U:10.4/m
Temps look good at 38/38/40/36

Speed is about the same as with running BFGM 2.7.5 in windows7. Im pretty sure my efficiency wasnt this low on win7, not sure what the issue is there...
