Everybody wants to buy whole bitcoins, nobody wants to buy 0.5 bitcoin. Only the big investors can afford to buy whole bitcoins above the 200-300 dollar level but they are smart enough to realise that such an investment would be too risky because of the danger of a 51 attack. Therefore I believe the price of bitcoin will not exceed the 200-300 dollar level Wink

I like to speculate

now this is a better troll attempt, but in this you failed to realize that price is relative, so 300 might look huge now but when the price will rose out, buying at 1k would be considered the normal

the thing about people not liking to buy everything that isn't a whole 1 btc, it's just a stupid myth, there is simply to much fear to invest because the price crushed too much, nothing else

As the price goes up it will not be about how many bitcoins you own the focus will be on how many satoshis you own. 50 million satoshi sounds better than 0.5btc

That's the as saying "gold will never go beyond 200-300 dollars" because no one wants to buy by oz, they want to buy by kilograms". You see how that doesn't make any sense? Once BTC is worth like 10000+ and way sooner we'll not deal in terms of BTC, mBTC will probably be the standard, and owning 1000 mBTC will feel good.

I think one of the biggest balls ups in the early days was failing to switch to a smaller unit. Whether we like it or not, humans prefer to deal in wholes and not fractions. If values do go up I'm sure there'll be an attempt at transitioning but it would've been far easier if it had been done from minute one.

He's either a troll or has no idea what he's talking about (or quite possibly both).

Because this forum has a running loop hole for the likes of trollypop to continue to be a pest, most of these newb accounts are from NLC.

The Mycellium wallet already has mBTC as the default one, some exchanges use mBTC or used to use it when the price was 4 figures. Adaptation will happen and not needed at all at a mainstream level because by the time it goes mainstream, the price will be 4figures + and we'll be using mBTC for a while.

You do know that bitcoin has been as high as $1200, and people still bought in?  If you are buying with fiat, then it is irrelevent if you can buy 5 BTC or 0.5BTC, as long as you think the price will rise, or that you can use it more constructively than you can use your fiat.

I think there is a higher chance that currency controls are placed on fiat than a 51% attack on Bitcoin.  It would take some serious computing to get 51%, and the potiential gain is so low, I don't see it happening.

i always buy as much as i can, whether it is 0.5 or 2.5 BTC doesn't matter, since i am investing my money i invest $100, $500,... or whatever i can or i want!

Only the big investors can afford to buy whole bitcoins above the 200-300 dollar level but they are smart enough to realise that such an investment would be too risky because of the danger of a 51 attack. Therefore I believe the price of bitcoin will not exceed the 200-300 dollar level Wink
your whole logic is wrong. since you are not bound to invest fixed increments and you can invest from $1 to $1mil it doesn't matter how big you are, it is an investment that is going to give profit or not.
and investing in bitcoin has its risks but not because of 51% attack. research a little about it and then post here.
