I wonder if a small tight knit community could thrive on a bitcoin bartering system.
Instead of trading your communal good and services for cash, commit to using bitcoin to be free from the cash banking industrial complex. Could some smart folks please help extrapolate and evolve this concept?
Thank you kindly,
H.

Do you mean bicoin is directly paid for the required goods or services? More and more merchants are accepting bitcoin payment beyond cash! IMO merchants wouldn't dump cash or card payment yet due to their dominating status.

But do they really accept bitcoin or do they use one of the services that automatically pays them out in cold hard fiat?

Recently a micro nation called Liberland was formed with same kind of plan, but did not hear much from them recently.

Their so-called president is arrested. Their land is in dispute! I think they fall in some trouble!

You'll probably not hear from it again. That was yet another clickbait article on some fetishistic dream of a couple rich guys, basically a joke destined to fail.

Yeah, these are great ideas but implementing them even on the local barrier meets several obstacles that are difficult to overcome. More need to be educated in Austrian economics for bitcoin to succeed.

Aren't we already a community of such people? I think that Bitcointalk members are trying to live by these rules. But from the other hand I think formal community with set of rules won't work with our community.
