see my example here, i think it fit perfectly, to measure how much one account can be worth, based on easy math and it follow a simple logic https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=1029508.msg11539733#msg11539733you can factor trust by rising the price a bit, from the base that i provided in that post

It is pretty much a free market. But I have seen these prices: 0.02-0.05 for member 0.04-0.1 for Full member 0.15-0.3 for Sr member 0.5-0.8 for hero 1BTC++ for legendary. It fluctuates depending on number of open signature campaign and post history.

accounts price depends on many factors like activity, posts, post quality, username and trust score there is no fixed range for accounts , price vary based on above factors

So are you now trying to buy a higher account so you can provide escrow? How much would an account with your trust be worth? Lets say you are not a mod, i think it will probably go around 2-3 btc, right?

So are you now trying to buy a higher account so you can provide escrow? I guess we'll know who it is if a new escrow "service" pops up anytime soon. OP doing a great job at making themself out to be as shady as possible, blatantly too.

I was very tempted to leave a negative instead of neutral on op. I think relatively unknown members offering escrow services is just as bad as newbs asking for loans without collateral in my opinion and it definitely shouldn't be something that becomes accepted around here.

People ask you to provide escrow because they trust you, and will give you a tip as a show of appreciation for your service.

I don't want to leave negative and am always reluctant to do so on anyone but people are being completely naive offering to escrow so early on and maybe they only want to become trustworthy with good intentions but it's the ones that don't that I'm worried about. And I agree, tips shouldn't be expected but it's nice bonus, but only if you've put in the work to get where you are and earned your rep over time. People seem to be thinking they'll build the rep up as they go along but that's meaningless. Anyone could just handle dust transactions until someone trusts them with an amount they like then, boom, you'll never see them again. Earn you rep, put in the time, then consider, not the other way round.

Rather than naive, I'm more inclined to think that these peoples' motive is tips and solely tips; based on MoonOfLife's recent activity on the forum (mass "hey tip me" spam) theres nothing that really leads me to believe that he is really doing it for the forum's safety, which is why most of the already trusted and established escrow services continue to offer their service. some notable figures would be master-p and Muhammed Zakir; they offer their services for free to help ensure the safety of trades on this forum.

Well I would argue that expecting to make money off escrow tips is still naive as most wont or very little when they do, but starting an escrow as barely a Member account with next to no trading history is even more naive. And if people are so desperate for tips there's nothing to suggest they wouldn't run off with an an amount they like they look of. I also think new escrows like Muhammed only offer free service likely because they have to, nobody is going to pay a lesser escrow a percentage fee when there's others that do it for free and the escrowers will only hope they will get tips every now and again.

true, a relatively newer service cant compete with someone thats rather well established, such as devthdev. but the people that offer escrow services on this forum deserve respect for the service they provide, and I generally always tip them for their service. I can see how the newer members find this method to build trust and get tips extremely attractive, but in the case that simply offering a service is all they intend, with all honestly, then yes, they would be extremely naive to believe that people will trust them right off the bat; this is the real world after all.
