Hi Everyone

I have just written to my local MP (the deputy prime minister of Britain Nick Clegg) to ask him to support the growth of Bitcoins and other crypto-currencies. If a large western government actually supports the Bitcoin currency and the companies working in this area, they are likely to see investment £,€,$ and new tech companies trickling and then hopefully pouring into the country. I suggest that if other people think this is a good idea they too should talk to their local politicians. Try to build the momentum for politicians to take a positive decision on Bitcoin. Ignoring Bitcoin doesn't help Bitcoin users or the countries economy, neither does regulating Bitcoins. Supporting Bitcoins, simplifying tax rules on Bitcoins, taking decisions to make it easy to transfer money in and out of our (majority) government owned banks will actually create highly paid jobs for skilled people. The UK government could really use these extra jobs and investment, and so could other countries.

Thanks Alex
