Anyone use this guy? He told me has has sold on Bitcointalk before but nobody leaves feedback. He is offering full escrow.. Just sounds too good to be true.

There was a guy doing MG on Cryptothrift who got suspended two days ago. Since this guy started today it is not implausible that it is the same guy. I had one successful transaction with him and a 2nd one that he got suspended in the middle of. Don't release escrow before you have cash in hand and you should be OK.

Tried two transactions, guy claims that he never received notice of me paying in full from Cryptothrift. My two options are, wait or lose my 1% escrow fee with a cancellation. I did insist that he not use a test question as I figure that would be the only way someone could pick it up themselves  and claim you got your money. I wrote Crypto, we will see.

Anyone have any input how best to protect yourself on these MG and WU's? I can never figure out the scammy WU and MG guys, nobody will release without cash in hand will they? I guess since they don't risk a dime it is worth a shot just to see if a receipt will get something released.

WU and MG are only meant for family remittance nothing else so you stand a huge chance of having the transaction simply voided by them for "business decision reasons". The only one's who last are the guys living in sketchy countries that pay other people to go pick up transactions so the same names aren't used flagging the transaction, or they use fake IDs all of which is risky and adds to the exchange price.

If you must use wire transfer use Xpress Money, or somebody else besides WU/MG. There's a billion money transfer corps around.

Moni3z,

I don't think I clearly asked my question.

Does anyone have any advice on protecting themselves when buying MG/WU with Bitcoin? Besides the obvious of using a reputable escrow of course. Of course the sender has nothing to lose in the hope that someone might release escrow early with a receipt or a story.

My only thought was to make sure they do not use a test question, the thinking was to stop a claim should the sender picks it up himself.
