To make matters even worse, affected users are unable to reset their passwords or access their account in any way.  The “hackers” have gained full control of the Cloudminr.io website, which can be attributed to lacksadaisical security practices by the website owners.  A common trend when it comes to cloud mining websites, unfortunately, as most of them are thrown together quickly in order to collect your funds as soon as possible.

It is quite clear that the "hackers" have always been in control of the website. It was a scam from the beginning.

Also, the author doesn't seem to be aware that cex.io shut down cloud-mining months ago.

The learning curve around here is still pretty long as I see cuz people still fall for this 'mine' for bitcoin routine when it's so much easier and worthwhile to just straight up pay for it w/ the same amount of money and sock it away in a wallet. Unless, of course, if you're outside the Coinbase storage area. It's so sad to see people being taken for a loop on these endeavors.
