We're witnessing may scholar interested in doing reseacrh on Bitcoin. And now, various companies(I won't name) has started to acquire rights from them in order to.. You know.  Tongue

We should help fellow researchers. I've added few links in order to help people doing intensive study of Bitcoin for whatsoever purpose. If you've links to more, then please feel free to share. Will help them from wasting money(considering knowledge must be free or other way round most of the research in western countries are funded by government and government=public) and time on google.

This should be a nice list. I have a few research papers from educational and financial institutions laying around somewhere. I'll find them and post them up later.

A few articles published in academic legal journals:

"Bitcoin: An Innovative Alternative Digital Currency" 4 Hastings Science & Technology Law Journal (Winter 2012) (author Reuben Grinberg)

"Coming Soon to a Legislature Near You: Comprehensive State Law Governing Fiduciary Access to Digital Assets" 8 Charleston Law Review 429 (Spring 2014) (author Suzanne B. Walsh)

Also, the following recent federal court opinion regarding investment contracts/securities contains a fairly detailed description of Bitcoin, and is likely to be used by other courts going forward even outside of the securities area of law:

SEC v. Shavers and Bitcoin Savings and Trust, Case No. 4:13-CV-416, Eastern District of Texas, Sept. 18, 2014
2014 U.S. Dist. LEXIS 130781
