Few threads about the Pi2 already

I bought a Pi 1 a while back but never really used it as I couldn't get much stuff to work on it. I guess they're alright for certain things like mining rigs and stuff but I don't think they're for me.

I bought the Pi 2 for a specific project, but it lacked the ability to run certain programs within certain conditions, which made it useless to me. I also purchased it to mine with, alone as an experiment, which was also a flop. eBay helped me get my losses back...

RPI 2 runs OpenELEC media center very nice and smoothly (there is a separate build for RPI 2). Instructions for installation:

I have a few of them from past asic rigs. Most are just sitting around now. I may do something with them in the future.

I guess if you're a bit techy then people can find a use for it but for the average person it's not that useful really. Another thing to me is its touted as a really cheap computer but once you buy everything for it such as a case, keyboard, cables, monitor etc you could have just paid a little more and got a cheap little laptop. I would have sold mine on ebay but I would only lose money because the pi2 is out now and why would anyone buy a first model when they can get a brand new one with double the specs.

Same here. I think that what happens to most of them. The novelty wears off and they get left in a drawer.
