hi, i got 0.0001 BTC to my Bitcoin qt receiving address, What is this transaction? How do i find out where it was sent from, i see only that it was sent to my address, how many confirmations and TX ID, anyone what is this transaction could be?

well some advertisers send .0001 BTC as a form of advertisement
i also got the same from a bitcoin casino

Most likely spammers trying to advertise a scamsite. Normal services and companies don't use spam as a way of advertising.

i have received a couple over the years too, they are advertising. see the comment with the transaction.

Google the address it came from or search this forum with it. It's nothing to worry about. Are you sure its not a faucet payout or something? At the least it'll just be spam. If you post the tx id people might be able to help you though.

no need for googling. these things have a comment with them. check the tx on blockchain.info to see the comment (ad)
